Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

CCI is funded by private contributions and receives no government funding. The Capital Chapter of CCI supports the areas of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Puppy raisers and other volunteers are desperately needed. Whether you're in the Capital Chapter area or across the country, CCI has a volunteer opportunity for you!
